The Blues put in another woeful showing at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as they suffered their second consecutive 3-0 defeat.

Chelsea have now lost four games in a row in all competitions, and are outside the Champions League places in sixth with seven games remaining.

Liam Rosenior on plans for the international break

Rosenior has come under increased pressure following Saturday’s defeat, and he knows he’s expected to deliver Champions League football.

It’s been reported Chelsea aren’t currently planning to replace Rosenior, but he’s got to find a level of performance from this squad he’s been unable to in recent weeks.

The international break arguably comes at a good time for Rosenior, and the 41-year-old has revealed what his plans are.

“Our staff will be working throughout the international break where we will have more time to analyse instead of jumping from game-to-game which we can do with less emotion and sit down and talk as a staff about how we improve,” he told BBC Radio Five Live as quoted on X.com.

“The reality is some of our players won’t come back until the Thursday or the Friday before Port Vale.”

Chelsea face tough end to the season

After the international break the Blues host Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter final before league games against Manchester City and Manchester United.

Chelsea still have to travel to Liverpool, and if the Blues aren’t careful they are in danger of falling further down the table.
