Uncertainty over Ousmane Dembélé’s involvement has been removed, with Luis Enrique confirming he will start for PSG in Tuesday’s Champions League play-off first leg at Monaco, kick-off 21:00.

Speaking on Canal+ on Tuesday evening, the PSG head coach said there is always noise around the club and made clear the forward will play.

Dembélé had complained of discomfort in a leg during Monday’s session, undertaking repeated runs and consulting the club doctor.

His early withdrawal in Friday’s 1-3 defeat at Rennes, viewed in that light, was not a major concern for the staff.

The development arrives four days after remarks from the 2025 Ballon d’Or that prompted considerable discussion.
