The Athletic reports that Ousmane Diomande is expected to leave Sporting Portugal for Nottingham Forest in a €40m transfer.

The report adds the 22-year-old centre-back is due to fly on Saturday for a medical, with a five-year contract to follow if he passes.

He would depart Lisbon after 132 matches for Sporting, having arrived in 2023 from Danish side Midtjylland.

Forest are managed by Oliver Glasner.

This summer he featured at the 2026 World Cup with Côte d’Ivoire, starting the third group game, a 2-0 win over Curaçao, and not playing in the 1-2 defeat to Norway in the last 16.
