Out of contract, Corinthians right-back set to join rivals next season

Corinthians is close to losing yet another player for the 2026 season. According to information first reported by Portal Sereias, right-back Letícia Santos will not remain at Parque São Jorge after her contract ends this month and is expected to return next year to Santos, where she played at the start of her career.

The 30-year-old player, who has had stints with the Brazilian National Team, arrived at Parque São Jorge at the beginning of 2024 but was unable to secure a spot in Lucas Piccinato’s squad. So far, she has played in only 31 matches, starting 15 of them and tallying just four goal contributions, with two goals and two assists. Additionally, she was part of the squad that won the Brazilian Championship last year and this year.

Before joining the Brabas, Letícia Santos played for eight seasons in German football, with clubs such as SC Sand, 1. FFC Frankfurt, and Eintracht Frankfurt. She also had spells at Palmeiras, Bangu, XV de Piracicaba, Avaí Kindermann, São José, and Avaldsnes IL in Norway.

With the Brazilian National Team, the player has been called up on several occasions since 2017. Letícia was part of the squad that won the 2022 Copa América title, and she also played in the 2019 World Cup and the 2020 Olympic Games.
