Former Flamengo defender Pablo, 34, has been released by São Bernardo without making an appearance, five months after signing for the Série B club. The club said in a statement that his contract had been ended, adding thanks for his professionalism and wishing him well.

Pablo joined Flamengo in 2022 for 2.5 million euros, around R$ 14 million. He featured 31 times under Dorival Júnior that year, then made 15 appearances in 2023.

In 2024 he moved to Botafogo on loan and played once. He returned to Flamengo in 2025 and registered four outings with a youthful side at the start of the Campeonato Carioca.

Later last year, under Filipe Luís, he trained at the Ninho do Urubu on an alternative schedule. He posted training clips on social media, often with reflective messages that appeared to allude to those responsible for his exclusion.

Announced by São Bernardo at the start of this year, he was named in only three matchday squads, one in the Campeonato Paulista and two in the Copa Sul-Suleste, and did not come off the bench. His last competitive appearance was on 22 January 2025, when Flamengo beat Bangu 5-0 in the Carioca.
