Tottenham Hotspur will face off against Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium this Saturday afternoon as they hope to secure a victory on the road in the Premier League. Spurs managed to earn a hard-fought 1-0 win over Villarreal in midweek, which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this clash versus the Seagulls.

Thomas Frank will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some tweaks to his first XI for this game. Joao Palhinha and Brennan Johnson could both get a chance to play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Guglielmo Vicario will operate in between the sticks for Spurs after keeping a clean sheet in his last outing. Cristian Romero will play alongside Micky van de Ven at the centre of Frank’s defence as they try to keep the opposition at bay during the game.

Pedro Porro will fill in as the right-back, while Djed Spence hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would have to perform their defensive duties well if Spurs are to secure a clean sheet this weekend.

Destiny Udogie and Kevin Danso will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Pape Matar Sarr and Joao Palhinha will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.

The talented trio of Brennan Johnson, Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus will function just ahead of them as part of Tottenham‘s attack. All three of them need to combine well if Spurs are to come out on top in this game at the Amex.

Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Bergvall will make up the numbers on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Richarlison will lead the line for the North London club up top. He would be eager to find the back of the net after failing to do so against Villarreal in midweek.

Randal Kolo Muani will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if needed.
