Palmeiras completed their final preparations on Tuesday for Wednesday’s Conmebol Libertadores meeting with LDU at Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado, kick-off 19:00 Brasília time.
According to Globo.com, three recent doubts trained fully and could be available after the session at Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa.
Sosa has overcome a left thigh injury, Piquerez was taken off against São Paulo after a heavy ankle challenge, and Mauricio is recovering from knee tendinitis. All featured throughout the workout.
Of the trio, the left-back has the strongest chance to start, while the midfielder and the forward may boost Abel Ferreira’s bench options.
The probable XI is Carlos Miguel. Murilo, Barboza and Bruno Fuchs are listed, with Lucas Evangelista also in contention. Giay, Marlon Freitas, Andreas Pereira and Piquerez are named, with Arthur an option, plus Arias, Flaco López and Vitor Roque.
With a 1-0 first-leg win behind them, Palmeiras need only a draw to secure a semi-final place.
