Palmeiras trained on Thursday morning at the Academia de Futebol as they step up for Bahia in the Campeonato Brasileiro.

According to Nosso Palestra, the match is set for Thursday 8 October at 21:30 at Nubank Parque, part of the 29th round. Palmeiras are second on 57 points and also remain in the semi-finals of the CONMEBOL Libertadores against Fluminense and the Copa do Brasil against Vasco.

The squad worked in a reduced area with emphasis on combinations, marking, decision-making and passing. That was followed by an 11 v 11 game split into two 25-minute periods.

Forward Paulinho completed exercises inside the Centro de Excelência and further work on the pitch under the supervision of the Núcleo de Saúde e Performance.

With 11 players absent, several Crias da Academia have joined the group during the FIFA international window. Under-20 captain Pimenta described training with the seniors as a valuable experience and said the staff have been supportive.

He noted that Marlon Freitas and Barboza have offered frequent guidance, while Gustavo Gómez is a key reference in his development. Pimenta, from Brasília, joined in 2024 after time at Atlético-MG, Goiás and Ska Brasil, and was part of last season’s Brasileiro Under-20 title-winning side.

Palmeiras will continue working through the international window ahead of their next league match.
