Palmeiras internationals in Fifa break: seven starters, a goal and an assist | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Palmeiras sent 11 players on international duty in this Fifa break, the most of any club, with eight from the first team and three from the under-20s. Eight have already featured.

Argentina have not yet played. Flaco López and Agustín Giay are in contention to start. Fixtures are on 30 September, 3 and 6 October against Bolivia, Burkina Faso and Benin, all at home.

For Uruguay, Piquerez came on for 11 minutes in a 3-1 loss to Japan, then played the full match in a 4-1 win over South Korea. Emiliano Martínez, called up in place of Real Madrid’s Valverde, has not yet featured and has one remaining chance against India on 6 October.

Jhon Arias started and completed Colombia’s only match so far, a 1-1 draw with Mexico. Next up is Peru on 6 October.

In Brazil’s under-20s, Kauan Lima, Erick Belé and Heittor all started a 4-1 win over Denmark, with Heittor recording a goal and an assist. Further games are scheduled against the United States on 1 October and Mexico on 4 October.
