According to Nosso Palestra, Palmeiras are set to sell academy goalkeeper Kaique to Sporting, of Portugal, for €four million, about R$ 24 million, and have retained a 10% sell-on of any capital gain.
The player is due to travel on Tuesday 25 for medical tests and to sign with his new club. The clause applies to the difference between any future sale price and the amount Sporting have paid to acquire him.
For example, if Sporting were to sell him for €five million, Palmeiras would receive 10% of the €one million gain, €100,000.
Palmeiras also confirmed on Tuesday the signing of goalkeeper Bruno Bertinato, 28, from Portuguesa, on a contract through to the end of the 2026 season. He completed medical checks, visited the club's training complex and signed his contract.
Bertinato said he was impressed by the facilities and staff, felt very happy and honoured to join what he considers Brazil's biggest club, and is eager to step on the pitch and show his qualities.
He added that he cannot wait to meet his team-mates and fight for major targets this year. Calling it the opportunity of his life, he said he feels honoured and prepared for the challenge.
