Palmeiras resumed work at the Academia de Futebol on Sunday morning as preparations for the Brasileirão restart moved into their final days. According to Globo.com, the session again took place without 11 players away on international duty.

They host Bahia on Thursday, the eighth, at Nubank Parque, kick-off 21:30 Brasília time. The next assignment is the Dérbi with Corinthians on the 11th, also at home.

Sunday’s work began with muscle activation before drills on the pitch. The first block focused on passing, combinations and finishing.

Paulinho remains in recovery under the Health and Performance unit. The forward, who sustained a right thigh injury in August, completed physiotherapy, did ball work on the grass and performed acceleration and change-of-direction movements.

Among the senior call-ups, Giay, Flaco López, Gustavo Gómez, Mauricio, Ramón Sosa, Jhon Arias, Emiliano Martínez and Piquerez still have national-team fixtures this week.

From the academy ranks, Kauan Lima, Erick Belé and Heittor are with Brazil under-20. The club is studying logistics to bring most of the call-ups back before the next match.
