Palmeiras return to an 11:00 Brasileirão kick-off on Sunday, visiting Grêmio at Arena do Grêmio in Porto Alegre in the 28th round.

It is their first league match in the morning slot since 20 June 2021, when they beat América-MG 2-1 at Allianz Parque, Willian scoring both, the second in stoppage time.

Since the 11:00 slot became common in 2015, Palmeiras have six wins and four defeats from 10 league fixtures at that time, scoring 18 and conceding eight.

After losing to Atlético-MG in 2016, they won five straight 11:00 league games, against Vitória, Paraná, Cruzeiro, Red Bull Bragantino and América-MG, a run featuring 14 goals for and five against.

The morning slot rose in 2015 to help boost attendances, but has lost prominence in recent years. UOL reports that by September 2026, 200 Série A matches had been played at 11:00.

The club said in a 2020 study that, across competitions since 2015, they had played 11 times at 11:00, with eight wins and three defeats.
