Palmeiras trained on Sunday morning at the Academia de Futebol as they prepare to resume the Campeonato Brasileiro after the World Cup, with Carlos Miguel and Vitor Roque involved with the squad while Felipe Anderson worked separately.

According to Globo.com, the attacking midfielder is undergoing load management after the club’s training games during the break, and he was on the pitch under the supervision of the Núcleo de Saúde e Performance.

Carlos Miguel had also been managing workload and returned to full training without restrictions in the morning session. Vitor Roque, in transition, kept to his programme alongside the rest of the group.

The workout focused on sharpening passing lanes, movement and finishing, with air mannequins and poles used for exercises. Afterwards, the squad split into groups of eight for small-sided technical drills on reduced pitches.

The team will train again on Monday. Their return to competitive action is set for Wednesday at 19:30 against Coritiba at Couto Pereira, the 19th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
