Palmeiras stepped up work during the international break, holding a Monday session as they gear up to face Bahia in the league.

They return on Thursday the eighth at 21:30 Brasília time, hosting Bahia at Nubank Parque in the 29th round. According to Nosso Palestra, the morning session at the Academia de Futebol in São Paulo lasted around two hours.

Led by the Portuguese coaching staff, the squad concentrated on technical and tactical drills. Positional work targeted build-up play and finishing.

That was followed by a series of attack-versus-defence duels to boost chance creation and defensive organisation. The session closed with penalties.

While the main group trained, Paulinho continued his injury recovery. The forward completed separate on-pitch work with staff from the Núcleo de Saúde e Performance.

Palmeiras are second in the Campeonato Brasileiro on 57 points. The run-in promises a sequence of decisive fixtures.

The club are through to the CONMEBOL Libertadores semi-finals against Fluminense, and the Copa do Brasil semi-final with Vasco.

Across all 2026 competitions, Palmeiras have the best return among Brazilian sides overall, at home and away. Their overall mark is 69.05 percent, ahead of Flamengo's 65.41. Away they post 57.14 percent to Flamengo's 55.56, and at home 80.95 to Flamengo's 78.67.
