Palmeiras ‘to sign’ Portuguesa goalkeeper Bruno Bertinato after Kaique sale

Palmeiras are in advanced talks to sign Portuguesa goalkeeper Bruno Bertinato, 28, after selling academy graduate Kaique.

Band reports that Bertinato would initially join on a deal running to the end of this season, with an option to extend into next year. Talks accelerated in recent hours.

Bertinato has previously featured for Mirassol and in Italy with Venezia.

The club aim to finalise the move this week.

Kaique has been sold to Sporting, of Portugal, for 4 million euros, around R$ 24 million at current rates, and will travel on Tuesday to sign his contract.
