Palmeiras returned to training on Wednesday 21 at the Academia de Futebol in São Paulo, with positive medical news. According to Nosso Palestra, several injured players resumed work and there is hope the unit could be cleared in the coming weeks.

The standout was Felipe Anderson, who trained fully with the squad. The attacking midfielder has missed the first four matches of 2026 after an ankle sprain in November’s Libertadores final against Flamengo.

Vitor Roque completed the session while following an individual plan. He felt knee pain against Mirassol on Saturday 17, no injury was found, and he was rested against Novorizontino on Tuesday 20.

Andreas Pereira sustained shoulder trauma in the derby with Santos in round two, took part in most of the session and is progressing.

Lucas Evangelista and Figueiredo, both returning from 2025 surgeries, are in physical transition and worked separately with the ball alongside academy players. Lucas is due back in about 15 days, Figueiredo in 20 to 25.

Paulinho is the only player still out of group work, recovering from shin surgery and training indoors with the performance staff. The club expects him to be cleared for official games in early March.

Abel Ferreira’s side ended the first half of the Paulistão’s opening phase on nine points in third, with Red Bull Bragantino top on 10. Palmeiras face São Paulo at 18:30 on Saturday 24 at Arena Barueri in round five of the Campeonato Paulista.
