The CONCACAF qualification for the World Championship 2026 has now concluded. Panama, Curaçao, and Haiti finished at the top of their respective groups, securing their places in the upcoming World Cup.
Meanwhile, Jamaica and Suriname - the two best runners-up - will compete in the intercontinental play-off.
In Group A, Panama hosted El Salvador and won convincingly, 3-0, with goals from César Blackman, Éric Davis, and Puma Rodríguez. This result ensured the Canaleros topped the group, especially after Suriname’s 3-1 defeat away to Guatemala.
In Group B, Jamaica needed a victory over group leaders Curaçao to qualify directly for the next phase of the competition. However, neither side managed to find the breakthrough (0-0), allowing the Blue Wave to secure an unprecedented qualification for the World Cup. Trinidad and Tobago, meanwhile, recorded a 2–1 win over Bermuda, who finished bottom of the table.
Finally, in Group C, Haiti defeated Nicaragua 2-0, with goals from Louicius Deedson and Ruben Providence, sealing their place at the 2026 World Cup by finishing top of their group. Costa Rica, on the other hand, missed a golden chance to secure a play-off berth - needing a win against Honduras, they were held to a goalless draw.
It is also worth noting that the full route for the intercontinental play-off has already been determined, with Jamaica and Suriname claiming the final spots early on Wednesday morning.
The other teams involved in this mini-competition are Bolivia, Iraq, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and New Caledonia.
