Bayern Munich have included Yan Diomande on their shortlist for the summer transfer window, reports Christian Falk.
The 19-year-old has caught the eye of the Bundesliga champions with his impressive debut season for RB Leipzig.
The Ivorian has registered 11 goal contributions (seven goals and four assists) in 16 appearances across all competitions in 2025/26.

FC Bayern have an idea that they’d like to strengthen the left wing position and sign a young star capable of competing with Luis Diaz.
“Bayern Munich made one big deal last summer, which was Luis Diaz – and it’s working very well!” Christian Falk exclusively informed CF Bayern Insider.
“A decision had been made to get an older, more complete player, and they bought him for a lot of money from Liverpool at €70m (£60.7m).
“The idea now is to get some competition on the left side with a younger player, which is why Yan Diomande (19) is one idea the club has on the shortlist. They also have Said El Mala of FC Köln. That’s the view – they want to do something in this position.”
Decision-makers at Säbener Straße, to be clear, are completely satisfied with the Colombian wide man’s transfer.
Certainly, there can surely be no complaints with the 28-year-old sitting on a dragon’s hoard of 13 goals and seven assists in his first 22 games at Bayern Munich (in all competitions).

Registering a goal or assist every 94.6 minutes in Germany is far from being a poor rate for a 19-year-old in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
Yes, the jump to Premier League football is still considerable, but it’s not hard to see why Diomande is attracting suitors from Munich and the Premier League.
The attacker’s output, in particular, is mightily impressive when compared to his positional peers in Germany.

What will be additional attractive to Bayern (and Liverpool, who are missing a direct threat) is the teenager’s extreme comfort in possession and driving at the opposition.

These aren’t “safe” dribbles into enemy territory either. Being dispossessed 2.33 times per 90 indicates that Diomande is consistently attempting to take on his man and be a danger in the opposition box.
Inevitably, interest in Yan Diomande is also shared by some of the Premier League’s leading outfits, including Liverpool and Manchester City.
Falk went on to add: “Diomande has a long-term contract at RB Leipzig, until 2030. So, he’s not really cheap. This is why you have to take the interest of Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester City very, very seriously.
“Of course, we talk about these clubs, and they’re the same outfits that have Said El Mala on the list. They all have the same idea.
“Bayern Munich can do something in this position, but they don’t have to. That’s a very comfortable position for FC Bayern.”
To what extent the Sky Blues will maintain their interest beyond the transfer of Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo remains to be seen.

Arne Slot’s men, however, are quite clearly in desperate need of attacking reinforcements (never mind a new left winger).
The Merseysiders have struggled with Cody Gakpo as their first-choice left winger.
Albeit things have improved with Florian Wirtz on the flank. But this can’t be seen as the long-term solution for a footballer destined to be Liverpool’s central creative fulcrum.
Expect Liverpool to go in hard for a new left-sided winger in the summer. If not earlier in January.
