Juventus have completed the signing of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr on loan, with an obligation to buy for €27.5m (£23.5m) next summer.

The Italian giants have paid Spurs a €2.8m loan fee for the 2026/27 campaign, with the permanent transfer set to be completed at the end of the season.

Sarr leaves Tottenham after making 141 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists since joining from Metz in 2021.

The Senegal international was left out of Tottenham’s squad for their 2-0 defeat by Newcastle United after asking to leave, having also missed the club’s pre-season tour.

Sarr was part of Tottenham’s Europa League-winning squad in 2024/25 and has become an established Senegal international, featuring in their 2026 World Cup squad.

However, increased competition for midfield places following the arrivals of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes contributed to his decision to seek a new challenge. He will now continue his career in Italy with Juventus.
