Paratici ‘to bring’ De Zerbi back to Serie A with Fiorentina next season

Roberto De Zerbi’s spell at Olympique Marseille could be drawing to a close. According to Calciomercato.it, new Fiorentina director Fabio Paratici has plans to bring him back to Serie A at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Rumours in France over recent days suggested De Zerbi tendered his resignation after their Champions League elimination.

The club seemingly rejected that request, yet the situation remains tense and the Italian is expected to walk away at the end of the season.

Any approach from Fiorentina would be for next term, and depends on current boss Paolo Vanoli keeping them in the top flight.

De Zerbi has not worked in Italy since leaving Sassuolo in 2021, having since taken jobs at Shakhtar Donetsk, Brighton and Hove Albion, and from 2024 at Olympique Marseille.
