Paris administrative court ‘to rule’ on Girondins’ fate on Friday

Girondins de Bordeaux are set to learn their fate on Friday, with the Paris administrative court to decide whether they can remain in National 1, the fourth tier, or be relegated to Régional 1.

According to Sud Ouest, the ruling will be delivered before 18:00.

The club’s case was heard in Paris on Thursday. Bordeaux’s lawyers argued the club now has new financial viability to overturn the drop to Régional 1 and secure National 1 status.

That relegation had been upheld last week by the CNOSF.

The court’s decision will set Bordeaux’s competitive level.
