Tottenham Hotspur will clash heads with Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday as they look to secure a good result on their travels in the Premier League. Spurs were held to a 2-2 draw by Hoffenheim in a recent pre-season friendly game, which has halted their momentum ahead of this clash.

Roberto De Zerbi will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to name a strong team for this game. Richarlison will get the opportunity to lead the line for the North London club up top.

Defence

Anton Kinsky will feature in between the sticks for Spurs as he looks to keep a clean sheet away from home. Jean-Paul van Hecke will play alongside Marcos Sensi at the heart of De Zerbi’s defence as they look to keep a solid shape when defending inside their half.

Archie Gray will fill in as the right-back, while Andy Robertson looks to prove his value on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Ben Davies and Kota Takai will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali will function as the holding midfielders as they hope to establish their dominance over the opposition in the middle of the park.

The talented trio of Mathys Tel, Conor Gallagher and Mikey Moore will play just ahead of them as part of Tottenham’s attack. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if Spurs are to come out on top this weekend.

Lucas Bergvall and Pape Matar Sarr will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Richarlison will spearhead Tottenham’s attack up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace on the offensive end of the field.

Dominic Solanke will be in a race against time to be fit for this game. If he fails to make the match-day squad for Tottenham, Dane Scarlett might get a chance to impress off the bench this weekend.
