According to a report from Foot Mercato, promoted side Paris FC are targeting Olympique de Marseille striker Neal Maupay, who is in need of game time despite making his way back in to the OM squad and even scoring in the Coupe de France in recent weeks. According to sources close to the negotiations, discussions between Paris FC and Neal Maupay are progressing well, with the newly promoted side confident they can conclude a deal in the coming days. The capital club invested heavily last summer and have continued to be active this month as they aim to secure their top-flight status. Currently sitting 13th in the table, they have already added Marshall Munetsi on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Luca Koleosho has arrived from Burnley on a temporary deal that includes an option to buy. However, strengthening the forward line remains a priority. Paris FC have explored several attacking profiles in recent weeks, including Mathys Tel, who has found game time hard to come by at Tottenham Hotspur, and Edin Džeko. The latter, however, is set to join Schalke 04, leaving Maupay as the club’s primary target.Neal Maupay was forced out of the Marseille squad earlier this season, after being judged beyond requirements for Roberto De Zerbi. He was forced to train away from the first team squad, but has in recent months been re-involved with first team action GFFN | George Boxall
