Diego Coppola’s (22) loan spell at Paris FC will not be made permanent, as per a report from Le Parisien. The Italian is set to return to parent club Brighton and Hove Albion at the end of the season.

It has been a successful loan spell for Coppola, who joined Les Parisiens in the January transfer window. He has started 13 games in all competitions, including 12 in Ligue 1. He has helped the club climb out of relegation trouble. With two games remaining, the club’s safety in the top-flight has been assured. His performances also earned him a call-up to the Italy squad back in March.

There had been reports of talks about making the loan move permanent. However, Coppola’s entourage have now told Le Parisien that there is a “99% chance” that he will return to the AMEX Stadium for next season. The defender’s contract with Brighton runs until 2030.
