The following day, security will cover the 14 July military parade on the Champs-Élysées, the last of Emmanuel Macron as head of state, and aim to keep the semi-final a celebration for as many people as possible.

The breakdown is 5,000 prefecture staff plus 2,000 police and gendarmes from mobile units, with Paris fire brigade teams alongside.

Nationwide, 70,000 police and gendarmes will be on duty. Kick-off is at 21:00.
