Parma ‘to submit’ offer to Benfica for Andreas Schjelderup | OneFootball

Parma are preparing to formalise a fresh approach to Benfica for Andreas Schjelderup, with the winger prioritised for the winter window.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports the Italian club have not given up on the Scandinavian and view him as a key piece to spark their attack.

West Ham have also entered the race for Schjelderup, which could significantly benefit Benfica in ongoing talks. Competition between clubs from strong leagues allows the Portuguese side to push up the fee.

Benfica are open to a loan or a permanent sale in this market and want between €15 and €20 million. The club now await developments before deciding the player’s immediate future.

This season Schjelderup, valued at €14 million, has played 22 times for Benfica, 11 in Liga Portugal Betclic, six in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 985 minutes he has two goals and three assists.
