Patric ‘to leave’ Lazio for Al-Ittifaq as free agent | OneFootball

Lazio are preparing to part with long-serving defender Patric, with talks to end his contract reportedly under way, and Al-Ittifaq waiting.

Sportitalia reports that negotiations are at an advanced stage for a mutual contract termination.

The 33-year-old Spaniard has spent more than a decade in Rome, joining from Barcelona B in 2015. He has made 244 competitive appearances, scoring six and assisting six, and has received five red cards.

Following a muscular injury, he has not featured for Lazio this season, so his final outing may already have come and gone.

His deal runs to June 2027, and ending it now would cut short that spell. He would then be free to sign for Al-Ittifaq, the UAE First Division side already featuring Mario Balotelli, Douglas Costa and Daniele Baselli.
