Paulo Pezzolano has been sacked by Internacional, becoming the 18th coaching departure of the 2026 Brasileirão.

He won the Recopa Gaúcha against Brasil de Pelotas. He finished runners-up in the Campeonato Gaúcho, losing the final to Grêmio, and went out in the Copa do Brasil quarter-finals, also to Grêmio.

In the league, Inter have six wins, 10 draws and 12 defeats, a 33% points return, and sit 18th.
