Aleksandar Pavlovic had to miss out on FC Bayern at short notice recently. It is now clear what will happen for the midfielder in the coming days. There is a clear decision, especially with regard to the national team.
The 21-year-old will not travel to the national team for the time being. After a further examination on Sunday, those responsible decided together with the DFB not to take any risks. This is a reaction to the midfielder’s ongoing hip problems.
Pavlovic was absent from the 4-0 win over Union Berlin at short notice after suffering hip problems shortly before the game. The setback comes at an inopportune time for the player, who had recently been in strong form and was keen to recommend himself for the national team.
Coach Vincent Kompany had already addressed the strain of recent weeks. „We’ve tried everything, but when the games come so quickly, it’s not so easy,“ the Belgian explained on Sky before the game. At the same time, he made it clear: „Pavlo is in good shape, but he will still be very important for us in the coming weeks.“

It was unclear until the end whether Pavlovic would make the trip to the national team. The situation was closely monitored internally, partly because the injury is not considered serious. Nevertheless, it was clear early on that no unnecessary risks should be taken.
Sporting director Christoph Freund had also already advised caution. „We’ll discuss it,“ he said on Sky, adding: „It would be bad for everyone involved if he got something worse. We have to be careful.“
It remains to be seen whether Pavlovic will join the national team during the rest of the international break or whether he will use the entire time in Munich to recover.
