Payment Structure Details For Rangers Winger Swoop Emerge As Player Desire Key | OneFootball

Rangers‘ swoop for Girona winger Kim Min-su is being driven by the player’s desire for the move, with a €10m fee having been agreed for his services.

The Gers have been working on bringing in Korean wide-man Kim, having seen a move for PSV Eindhoven winger Couhaib Driouech break down due to medical concerns.

Other sides are keen on Kim, who shone on loan at Andorra in La Liga 2 last term, while the player was initially undecided on his future.

Now a fee has been agreed with Rangers and Kim will be put through his medical paces by the Scottish giants ahead of joining.

According to Spanish journalist Ivan Quiros, Kim’s desire for the move to happen is key, while the player and Girona are getting a good offer.

Girona are receiving €10m from Rangers, which will be broken down across four years, with a payment of €2.5m per year to be made.

It is unclear if there are any add-ons including in the deal, or whether Girona have been able to insert a sell-on clause into the agreement.

Rangers boss Derek McInnes has been keen for wingers to give extra teeth to his attack and recently did land Daisuke Yokota.

Now Kim is set to come in through the Ibrox door to give him another option and McInnes will be hoping that the Korean attacker can quickly adapt to the demands of Scottish football and hit the ground running in Glasgow.

Rangers will be looking to wrap up their spot in the Conference League league phase later this week when they take a slender 1-0 advantage to the Czech Republic against Jablonec.

Kim will also be crossing his fingers for Rangers to progress so that he can play European football at Ibrox this season.

A European exit would be a massive blow for McInnes, who has already drawn some criticism for Rangers’ poor start to the season.
