Pedri names the Barcelona star who ‘works the hardest’ | OneFootball

Barcelona star Pedri has on Thursday provided an insight into the hardest-working member of Hansi Flick’s squad.

Barca, of course, are fresh off a stellar opening to the new campaign.

Across the club’s four La Liga fixtures to date, they have racked up four wins, notching 13 goals, and looking a side completely reborn under the watch of new head coach Flick.

Throughout this stretch, a whole host of the Blaugrana’s stars have shone bright, from Jules Koundé to Lamine Yamal and summer signing Dani Olmo.

Many would no doubt argue, though, that Barcelona’s standout performer thus far in 2024/25 has been Raphinha.

Putting the constant summer speculation surrounding his name firmly behind him, Brazilian international Raphinha has looked back to his brilliant best, notching three goals and two assists in just four appearances.

And as much, if the latest comments on the part of the aforementioned Pedri are anything to go by, are just rewards for the efforts put forth by his teammate in training.

Speaking in an interview with Mundo Deportivo this week, midfielder Pedri was drawn on Raphinha’s start to the term.

And the 21-year-old, in his response, pointed towards the former Leeds United man as the very hardest worker in Hansi Flick’s squad:

“I think that Rapha is a player who, apart from everything, from the goals, from the assists he gives, is the one who works the hardest, the one who gives his all the most. And that’s highly valued. I would always have him in my team.”
