Vasco have switched from a loan to a permanent move for Richarlison after Tottenham hit FIFA's limit of six overseas loans. Club president Pedrinho says the pursuit will continue, with a buyout now the focus.

According to PaponaColina, Spurs told Vasco the cap is already taken by Pape Matar Sarr, Guglielmo Vicario, Radu Dragusin, Souza, Kota Takai and Min-hyeok Yang. Vasco have outlined a sizeable offer to purchase the 29-year-old, who is outside Roberto De Zerbi's plans.

The striker is pushing to wear the Cruz de Malta, a wish tied to his grandfather with whom he listened to Vasco games on the radio. He has twice met Spurs' hierarchy in London to press for a move to Brazilian football, indicating São Januário is his choice for the second half of the year.

Pedrinho said he has spoken with Richarlison for almost two years, admires him and recognises the forward's desire to join Vasco, adding he will not give up.
