Corinthians drew 1-1 with São Paulo on Sunday. Uruguayan right-back Pedro Milans, 23, watched from Neo Química Arena on the eve of a possible announcement.

He took a seat in a hospitality box, sharing it with midfielder Rodrigo Garro, who remains out as he recovers from surgery on the scaphoid bone in his left wrist. He was accompanied by his partner, according to Meu Timao.

Milans is expected to be unveiled in the coming days. He arrived in São Paulo on Wednesday for medical tests and to finalise details before signing a deal that is due to run until the end of 2029.

The defender has been a free agent since the start of the year after leaving Peñarol, where he spent the past four seasons. In 2025 he made 42 appearances and produced two assists. At Parque São Jorge he will compete with Matheuzinho.

Corinthians have already confirmed defender Gabriel Paulista and midfielder Matheus Pereira, who made his second debut on Sunday. A move for Al-Hilal forward Kaio César is advanced, while Fortaleza goalkeeper João Ricardo is expected to sign in March after further shoulder tests.

The result leaves Timão on four points from three Paulistão rounds, in seventh place. Dorival Júnior’s side visit Santos at Vila Belmiro on Thursday at 19:30 in round four.
