Pellegrino Matarazzo backroom changes confirmed at Real Sociedad | OneFootball

Real Sociedad begin pre-season on Saturday with fitness tests, followed by an open first-team session on Sunday at Zubieta. On Friday the club also set out Pellegrino Matarazzo’s complete backroom staff.

The update includes a new analyst, Ignacio Villamía, who joins after serving as assistant with the Swiss women’s national team and head of analysis for FC Barcelona Femení. The club said in a statement that José Rodríguez, hired last season as a set-piece specialist, will not continue and that it appreciates his work and wishes him well for the future.

Matarazzo is head coach, supported by assistants John Maisano and Omer Toprak.

Oier Agirrezabalaga is fitness coach, and Jon Alemán is goalkeeping coach.

Xabier Ruiz de Ocenda leads analysis, with Héctor Ibáñez also in the department.
