Penya Llagostí Groc of Vinaròs has bid farewell to founding member and first treasurer Ángel Castejón, whose quiet dedication helped shape the supporters’ club and whose name is, by extension, linked to Villarreal CF.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Castejón was present from the very beginning, when the peña was little more than an idea, taking responsibility for laying strong foundations with rigour, seriousness and constant commitment.

As part of the first board, he offered more than work, he set standards. He saw the peña as a shared effort in which celebration only made sense alongside responsibility and mutual respect.

Beyond the supporters’ scene, Castejón was a well-known businessman in the north of the province of Castellón. He founded Grupo Castejón in 1986 and left a lasting mark on Vinaròs and his native Vallibona.

Penya Llagostí Groc and Villarreal CF lose a discreet pillar who never sought the spotlight. His name endures in the peña’s collective memory and in Villarreal’s yellow history as an example of commitment and loyalty.
