Pep Guardiola looked the epitome of the proverbial bad loser, with his embarrassing behaviour on Saturday at St James’ Park.
Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United team absolutely deserved their win and the Manchester City boss couldn’t handle it.
Having only lost one of their last fourteen matches in all competitions and won 11 of them, drawing two, Pep Guardiola letting his frustration get the better of him as his players lost the game to a better team on the day.
The away team’s manager embarrassingly confronted Bruno Guimaraes.
He also did the same with the match referee.
Whilst maybe most embarrassing of all, Pep Guardiola even confronted a cameraman.
Pep Guardiola has now apologised and says he is embarrassed and ashamed when reflecting on his behaviour at St James’ Park.
The Manchester City manager was pictured lifting the headphone of a cameraman to speak in his ear, now on Monday speaking ahead of their Champions League fixture against Bayer Leverkusen which is to be played on Tuesday, Pep Guardiola saying:
“I apologise. I feel embarrassed and ashamed.
“I don’t like it. I apologised after one second.
“I am who I am.
“Even after one thousand games, I’m not a perfect person, I make huge mistakes.
“What is for sure, I defend my team and my club.
“The reason why is I want to defend my team and my club. There is no doubt.
