Pep Guardiola's agent has confirmed Al-Nassr made contact about hiring the Manchester City manager, while stressing no agreement is in place as he prepares to leave at the end of the season.
Josep Maria Orobitg said: "There was contact a month and a half ago, just contact, without any commitment or written offer. It's not that much money." He told Okaz.
He added: "There was also contact with the Saudi Arabian Federation about 15 days ago, but there will be no further contact for the time being. At the moment, none of them have much of a chance of signing Guardiola."
Reports had suggested a world-record package worth nearly €130 million per season and a potential partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo, but Orobitg’s comments cooled that speculation.
Guardiola will take charge of City for the final time on Sunday when his side host Aston Villa. After the post-match formalities, attention will turn to his forthcoming role as a Global Ambassador for the City Football Group.
