When asked whether Kompany could even shape a new era in Munich, Freund replied with conviction: „I am absolutely convinced that he is the perfect coach for FC Bayern. Of course, you can’t guarantee anything in soccer, but I would be very happy if he stays at Bayern for a very long time.“
