Former Roma and current Fenerbahçe attacker, Diego Perotti, will miss the remainder of the season due to a serious knee injury.
The Turkish club’s Sporting Director, Emre Belozoglu, confirmed to haber3.com that the Argentine, who has appeared in only four league matches, is set to miss the next 5-8 months.
“When he was fit, Perotti showed everyone what he was capable of doing,” said the Turkish executive.
“He’ll be out for awhile because he requires surgery, so we will have to sit down and make a decision with his representatives. Thanks to the stipulations in the contract, we won’t be heavily burdened financially by his absence.”
The Giallorossi will be required to contribute a percentage to Perotti’s wages as he ends the season with having played only 192 total minutes.
