Sunderland reached the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a 1-0 win over Hull City at the Stadium of Light, sealed by a superb second-half strike from Chemsdine Talbi.
According to Sunderland Echo, Regis Le Bris made 11 changes and handed out two full debuts.
Goalkeeper Melker Ellborg was rated six. He was nearly punished when racing out to a through ball early on, the chip dropping wide, then handled set pieces well and denied Thomas with a decent save from a free-kick.
Trai Hume earned seven. Aside from being caught under a pass early, he looked sharp and later coped well when switched to left-back.
Luke O'Nien received six. Hull felt he fouled Vaz in the box early on, which would have been harsh. He moved the ball crisply and snuffed out danger.
Omar Alderete also got six. He lost one duel in the box that almost led to an opening but was otherwise calm and in control, a valuable run-out.
