Philippe Coutinho stresses focus as Santos prepare for Flamengo in Brasileirão | OneFootball

Philippe Coutinho says Santos must stay grounded as they prepare to face Flamengo in the Brasileirão, praising the lift from recent wins.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the midfielder looked ahead to the run-in and next week’s fixture, stressing they will seek points while taking it game by game.

Coutinho returned on Friday after leaving Vasco, making his Santos debut from the bench in a clássico at Morumbis.

Santos could also have Neymar back, with the forward improving and hope he will be included in the squad.

Flamengo will be without Arrascaeta, who has a fracture in his left wrist, and Evertton Araújo with a grade 3 muscle injury. Varela and Anthony Valencia, on international duty, will not arrive in time.

Ayrton Lucas is a doubt with a right thigh problem, while Pedro and Samuel Lino are set to report back on Monday and should be available. Kick-off is at 19:30 Brasília time on Thursday at Vila Belmiro.
