Philippe Mexès, Abou Diaby and Pierrick Capelle join Ligue 1+ pundit team | OneFootball

Ligue 1+ has added Philippe Mexès, Abou Diaby and Pierrick Capelle to its on-air team ahead of the new season. The league’s channel announced the trio at a pre-season press conference on Wednesday.

They follow Clément Grenier and Johan Micoud into the line-up for the channel’s second season.

Mexès will feature on the free-to-air Sunday night magazine Le Club, presented by Thibault Le Rol, alongside Anne-Sophie Hamel and Swann Borsellino.

Capelle, the former Angers midfielder, will be on Saturday evening commentary. Diaby, the former Arsenal midfielder, will work pitchside for the Saturday 17:15 showcase.

Micoud will commentate one to two matches per matchday, on the Saturday and Sunday 17:15 slots.

Grenier, arriving from Canal+, will serve in the studio on the Saturday and Sunday evening shows.
