Barcelona star Pedri was on Monday on the receiving end of a hugely dangerous tackle, whilst lining out for Spain.

Midfielder Pedri is for his part currently locked in action, on the international front.

After featuring off the bench in Spain’s Nations League meeting with Denmark late last week, the 21-year-old was introduced to La Roja’s starting XI to face Switzerland this evening.

Pedri has since gone on to enjoy something of a hit-and-miss outing to date, fluffing his lines from the penalty spot before Yeremy Pino slotted home on the rebound.

Late in the first-half, the youngster then went on to spark widespread concern amongst those of a Barcelona persuasion.

As much came after Pedri was left grounded and in evident distress, owing to a dangerous challenge in midfield.

A still shot of the tackle in question, which saw the former Las Palmas man caught high on the knee by an opposing player, can be seen below.

Thankfully, Pedri, after some treatment on the part of the Spanish medical staff, managed to return to his feet to play on.
