Udinese have practically confirmed their agreement with former Real Madrid defender David Alaba by posting a cheeky chair-themed hint on social media.

Austrian defender Alaba is set to join Udinese on a free transfer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano broke the news this morning, and Udinese seem to confirm the agreement on social media.

The Serie A club shared a photo of a white chair on their official X account.

This image references David Alaba’s iconic celebration at Real Madrid in 2022, when the Austrian defender lifted a plastic chair to commemorate the Merengues’ comeback against PSG in the Round of 16.

Udinese are now expected to confirm Alaba’s signature with an official statement on their website.

The Bianconeri have had a tough start to the season, grabbing one win, one draw and three defeats in the opening five Serie A games.
