Barcelona fans may already have an early glimpse of what the club could wear in the 2027/28 season, with images of a potential new home kit beginning to circulate despite the 2026/27 campaign only recently getting underway.

Footy Headlines has published what it describes as the first real images linked to the next Barcelona home shirt. 

The design is still provisional and is not expected to represent the final version, but the leak offers some interesting clues about Nike’s direction for Barça’s next traditional strip.

Barcelona could bring back a classic detail

The biggest talking point is the return of a polo collar, something that Barcelona have not used that style on their home shirt since 2003, making its potential comeback one of the most noticeable changes in the design.

The shirt would remain faithful to the club’s familiar colour palette, using only blue and maroon.

However, instead of the look associated with this season’s design, the leaked version features a much greater number of stripes across the shirt.

That would give the 2027/28 Barcelona kit a more traditional appearance while still allowing Nike to introduce a different visual identity.

The leaked images should be treated with caution, though, as the design has emerged from a series of previous kit leaks and could still undergo changes before the club officially approves the final version.

Yellow details could complete the design

Another major difference is the proposed use of bright yellow detailing. The Nike, Spotify, Midea and Barça Foundation logos would reportedly appear in that colour, with yellow also used as trim along the side and back of the shirt.

That combination would give the blue-and-maroon base a sharper contrast and make the sponsor and technical details stand out.

It is to be noted that the club has already released three 2026/27 designs, including its traditional blue-and-red home shirt, the black Kobe Bryant-inspired kit and the retro turquoise strip.

All three have generated a strong response from supporters, with sales expected to contribute significantly to Barcelona’s commercial revenue.

If the latest leak proves to be broadly accurate, Nike could be taking Barcelona in an even more traditional direction for 2027/28.
