Pierre Kalulu’s one-match suspension will stand after FIGC president Gabriele Gravina rejected Juventus’ plea for sporting clemency, with the decision recently communicated to the club, ANSA reports.

Juventus felt wronged after the French defender’s controversial dismissal in Sunday’s 2-3 defeat by Inter Milan, when he received a second yellow card for a harsh foul on Alessandro Bastoni.

On Sunday morning, Serie A referees’ chief Gianluca Rocchi apologised and described referee De La Penna’s decision as a clear mistake.

Despite that admission, the federation has not altered the sanction.

Kalulu will miss the match against Como on Saturday afternoon, with kick-off at 15:00.
