Pinamonti ‘to undergo’ Lazio medical as Ratkov opens door to Sevilla | OneFootball

Andrea Pinamonti has been given the go-ahead to travel to Rome for a Lazio medical, and is due in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Sassuolo gave the green light after all but concluding a move for Sebastiano Esposito from Cagliari. The Neroverdi had been reluctant to release Pinamonti until a replacement was in hand.

Lazio are also progressing outgoings after Petar Ratkov opened up to a transfer for the first time this summer, having previously turned down approaches from Dinamo Moscow, Southampton and Red Star Belgrade.

He has approved a switch to Sevilla, who are now considering it. The Spanish side view him as an option up front and would look to structure a loan with an option to buy.

Ratkov’s exit, together with Gabriele Artistico’s move to Serie B, would clear the way for Lazio to add a second striker, with Padova reportedly closing in on a deal on Wednesday. Head coach Gennaro Gattuso has asked for a centre-forward before the window shuts, having begun the season with Boulaye Dia leading the line in the 1-0 win at Bologna.
