Inter Milan boss Cristian Chivu has dismissed recent rumors suggesting a dressing-room bust-up following Sunday’s win over Pisa.
Speaking to Rai Radio 1 via FCInterNews, the 45-year-old admitted he wasn’t happy with his side’s first-half performance at the Arena Garibaldi.
Inter Milan bounced back from back-to-back defeats to Atletico Madrid and AC Milan with a clinical win over Pisa.
Despite performing below their standard, the Nerazzurri claimed a vital 2-0 victory over the Serie A newcomers.
Furthermore, star striker Lautaro Martinez returned to the scoresheet, netting a match-winning brace.
Though Pisa held the San Siro giants goalless in the first half, two unanswered second-half goals inspired Inter back to winning ways.
Lautaro’s brace propelled him to the top of the Serie A scoring charts, extending his tally to six league goals this season.
Meanwhile, Francesco Pio Esposito, who replaced Marcus Thuram midway through the second half, delivered a crucial assist.
Indeed, the youngster set up his captain for the opening goal, only two minutes after entering the pitch.

“I liked the team’s reaction and maturity, especially considering the moment we were in, where we’d earned less than we deserved,” Cristian Chivu said after the game.
“We understood that today wouldn’t be easy, just like every match in Serie A.”
Then, he addressed malicious talks about an alleged quarrel inside Inter’s dressing room.
“I don’t have to deny anything,” he said. “Football is like that. People get carried away with victories, then after two lost games, suddenly, there are problems.
“But there are no problems. Everyone was disappointed because we deserved more.
“But we have what we deserve.
“If you want to win games, you need to be more balanced and show maturity, without forgetting personality and technical quality.
“Today, despite the difficulties posed by a well-organized Pisa side that could’ve hurt us, we put in all the energy we had after the trip to Madrid.
“We prepared this match in just two days, so I’m happy with the pride the boys showed on the pitch.”
Finally, he delivered his verdict on Inter’s first-half performance.
“No, I was pleased with the maturity we showed,” Chivu added. “We understood the importance of maintaining balance.
“We could’ve done a bit more, but credit also goes to the opponent.
“It’s difficult to analyze things after only one half – matches last a hundred minutes, there are three games within one.
‘We waited for the right moment to make the decisive move. The lads’ quality came out in the long run.”
