Pixbet former Flamengo and Corinthians sponsor targeted in R$ 1.1 billion police probe | OneFootball

The Federal Police launched Operation Arena on Thursday 13, targeting Pixbet over suspected concealment of online betting proceeds abroad. According to Globo.com, 17 search and seizure warrants were executed and assets worth up to R$ 1.1 billion were ordered blocked and seized.

The probe focuses on a business group suspected of using offshore corporate and financial structures to hide the origin and destination of funds from gambling and online sports betting.

PixStar, described as a shell company based in Curaçao, is also under investigation alongside Pixbet, which is headquartered in Paraíba. Investigators detected improper transactions and payments between the two companies.

The warrants were issued by the fourth Federal Court of Paraíba. The court also authorised the lifting of telematic and banking secrecy and asset seizures in Paraíba, São Paulo, Sergipe, Rio de Janeiro and Paraná.

Those under investigation may face charges including foreign exchange evasion, money laundering, criminal organisation and other offences against the national financial system.

Flamengo ended its partnership with the betting firm in August 2025 after delays in instalment payments by the operator. The deal had begun in January 2024, and a renewal through 2027 was projected at R$ 125 million per season.

Corinthians terminated its agreement in 2024. Pixbet then sought a R$ 20 million penalty, citing exclusivity for sports betting at Parque São Jorge, before the parties reached an instalment payment settlement.
