Plata video alleging intoxication circulates, club commitments reportedly unaffected | OneFootball

As Flamengo prepare to face Athletico-PR, a clip purportedly showing Plata with signs of intoxication has circulated widely online.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the alleged night out has not harmed his club commitments, as the forward reported as normal for training and physiotherapy.

The footage is said to show Plata smiling and trying to shield his face. A companion then passes in front of the camera with a drink resembling beer, and Plata is reported to have said he was going home to sleep.

The Ecuadorian sustained knee trauma in Flamengo’s win over Grêmio on Sunday (10) in the Brasileirão.

He missed the Vitória game on Thursday (14) and is a doubt to face Athletico-PR on Sunday (17).

The match is scheduled for 19:30 Brasília time at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, part of the 16th round of the Brasileirão.
